Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is an advantage. CPA License not required.
Minimum 3-4 years experience handling Accounts position.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge in any Shipping software is a plus.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Fluent in English and must have an excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritize own workload, manage competing task and meet deadlines.
Has the common sense and ability to carry out instructions.
Well organized and keen to details.
Customer centric and people management skills.
Has the high level of confidence in dealing with multiple stakeholders and executive management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee demurrage, detentions and storage charges for containers.
Prepare and generate detention and demurrage proposals on a monthly basis.
Ensure relevant documentations are properly complied and monitored.
Constant follow-ups for major customers with detention and demurrage charges.
Attend to customer’s queries and resolve issues with regards to detention and demurrage charges.
Process approved Damage Claim payment and issue Credit Notes if applicable.
Verify suppliers invoices for port charges per voyage on a weekly basis and forward to accounts for payment.
Coordinate with port agencies for discrepancies on port charges
Coordinate with other ports for reports and other documentations to support suppliers port charges
Prepare monthly reports of detention receivables.
Liaise with Container Controller for long overdue containers and performs necessary procedure set by the company in dealing with the lost and damaged containers.
Perform tasks related to customer receivable such as new customer registration; processing approved Damage Claim and issuance of Credit
Note; Freight daily cash receipting and reporting.

Submit updated reports and may perform related tasks required by management
